Friday, August 29

Men’s Soccer vs. Denver

8pm @ Baujan Field

10 spirit points

- Free popsicles for all Red Scare members!

- All spirit point scanning will occur in the Red Scare student section.

Sunday, August 31

Men’s Soccer vs. Wright State

2:30pm @ Baujan Field

10 spirit points

- All spirit point scanning will occur in the Red Scare student section.

Football vs. Central State

5:00pm @ Welcome Stadium

20 spirit points

- There will be 3 free buses driving to Welcome Stadium beginning at 4pm from G-lot (near Gosiger Hall).  Buses will run after the completion of the game also.

- Remember, the Stewart Street Bridge is OUT.  You have multiple alternative options including the Washington Street Bridge.  Please consult this site for more directions: http://daytonflyers.cstv.com/directions/dayt-directions.html

- UD will be located on the VISITOR side of Welcome Stadium.  Once again, the VISITOR side of Welcome Stadium.

- Red Scare members are permitted to pick up ONE free ticket with their student id.  Red Scare will have a special table at the front entrance where we will be distributing the student tickets beginning at 4:15pm.  You must go to the designated Red Scare table to pickup your ticket.  You will be scanned at this time.

I hope you first years will join us this year in cheering the Flyers on to another outstanding season!  As you may or may not know, we had a record breaking winning percentage across all varsity sports last year, and hopefully with your help, we're looking for another.

So the question is, are you ready to become a member of UD's largest student organization?  If so, become a member of Red Scare by clicking the blue "Join RS" button toward the top of your screen and following the instructions.  I would also encourage you to take a look at our "Freshmen" page located among the red links above.

Upper classmen, feel free to join Red Scare similiarly, as it will give you access to the forums and other notifications.

Additionally, SPIRIT POINT DISTRIBUTION BEGINS TOMORROW! with the Women's Soccer game starting at 7:30 at Baujan Field!  Don't forget your student ID's!

Welcome back Red Scare!  We hope everyone had a good summer.  We sure did, and as you can see, we were busy.  Over the summer we redesigned the website to better communicate with the members of Red Scare.  Hopefully you will find some of the new features helpful and engaging.  A short list of new features:

• An event system giving a one-stop view of your Red Scare schedule
• Forums to precipitate discussion among Red Scare members
• A frequently updated poll so that members are aware of general trends
• A member system allowing for better listing and interaction between the Board and Red Scare members

While you will find that many aspects of the new site are unavailable, they will certainly appear as the beginning of the year rolls out.
