Freshman's Guide to Red Scare
On behalf of over 1300 Red Scare members and the Red Scare Executive board, I would like to welcome you to the University of Dayton. This guide will help introduce you to Red Scare. What is Red Scare???
You may be wondering, what is Red Scare? Simply put, Red Scare is a large group of UD students who attend varsity athletic events to support the Flyers. These events include Men's & Women's Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Men's & Women's Basketball, Baseball,

Introduction of Spirit Points and Ticket Distribution
Red Scare utilizes the Spirit Point System to determine the order of ticket distribution for the most popular and in-demand sport on UD's campus, Men's Basketball. The more Spirit Points you accumulate, the better the seats you will receive for basketball games. Students earn these Spirit Points by attending the sporting events mentioned above. When attending sporting events, make sure to bring your student ID. As you arrive at an event, find the Red Scare member (located near the ticket booth/table or in the student section) with the scanner:

The individual scanning will then swipe or scan your card. Then find your seat alongside your fellow Red Scare members and help cheer the Flyers on to victory. Within 2 days, your points will be uploaded on the Spirit Point portal located on spiritpoints.udayton.edu (there is more about spiritpoints.udayton.edu located on the FAQ Page)
