DAUGHERTY'S LATE RUN LIFTS DAYTON OVER ST. MARY'S 68-62
Sophomore Kristin Daugherty lifted the University of Dayton women's basketball team to a 68-62 win over St. Mary's in the last day of the World Vision Classic Monday evening. Daugherty scored 14 points in a two minute stretch in the final minutes of the game to help the Flyers earn their first win of the season.
FLYERS TRAVEL TO WINDY CITY FOR FIRST-ROUND NCAA GAME
The University of Dayton (15-4-2) learned it will play at Illinois- Chicago (12-3-4) this Friday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. ET in the first round of the 50th NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship.
JUSTINE RATERMAN NAMED INAUGURAL A-10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Freshman Justine Raterman was named the inaugural Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week on Monday after finishing the weekend averaging 15.5 points per game and 13.0 rebounds per game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL WINS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE HOME OPENER, 52-49
The Dayton Flyers men's basketball defeated the Wofford Terriers in its 2008-09 season opener Sunday at UD Arena, 52-49, behind 17 points from sophomore Chris Wright and junior Marcus Johnson. Combined, Wright and Johnson shot 14-of-23 from the field as Dayton won its fourth consecutive home opener.
UD XC SENDS TWO TO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
It was officially announced on Sunday that the University of Dayton will be represented by both Chris and Matt Lemon at the 2008 NCAA Cross Country Championships. For UD, this will be the first time any cross country runner has ever competed at the national meet.
DESPITE STRONG SHOWING DAYTON FALLS TO NO.25 OLD DOMINION, 70-58
Competing against one of top teams in the nation Sunday evening, the University of Dayton women's basketball team (0-2) fell to nationally ranked Old Dominion (2-0), 70-58, at the Frank Erwin Center in day two of the World Vision Classic. Freshman Justine Raterman earned the first double-double of her career with 27 points and 15 boards.
FLYERS CROWNED ATLANTIC 10 MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPS
In a swirling snow storm at Rooney Field the University of Dayton pulled off a 1-0 upset of top-seeded Massachusetts at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Men's Soccer Championship. The Flyers won the A-10 title for the first time since 1998. UD improved to 15-4-2 and broke a school record for single season victories.
NO. 13 TEXAS DOMINATES DAYTON, 66-40
The University of Dayton women's basketball team dropped its season opening game versus No. 13 Texas, 66-40, in the first day of the World Vision Classic on Saturday at the Frank Erwin Center.
FLYERS DROP ATLANTIC 10 FINALE TO BILLIKENS, 3-1
The University of Dayton Flyers fell 3-1 (25-19, 28-30, 21-25, 18-25) to No. 20 Saint Louis to finish their conference slate at 11-2 on Saturday. With the loss Dayton is now 20-10 overall this season.
CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT CHILLY NCAA REGIONALS
Sophomore Chris Lemon placed third individually at the NCAA Great Lakes Region Men's Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon at Purdue Varsity Cross Country Course. With the third-place finish, Lemon became the first men's cross country qualifier to the NCAA championship meet in UD men's cross country history. His time of 31:33 was a Dayton record for a 10K course.
DAYTON OPENS 2008-09 SEASON AGAINST WOFFORD
The University of Dayton Flyers open their 101st season of basketball Sunday when the Flyers host the Wofford Terriers on Tom Blackburn Court at 7 p.m. ET. Sunday's game will be the season opener for both teams.
